Cyclone 3D & S3D Modelling – MacKay River Project

Scope of Work:

• Processed and registered approximately 7,500 laser scans for point-cloud-based plant modelling.
• Developed the plant geometric model in Cyclone based on registered scan data.
• Performed 3D modelling of plant piping, including piping with diameters of 1 inch and above.
• Developed models for primary and secondary structural steel.
• Modelled adjacent buildings and associated equipment volumes.
• Developed 3D models of mechanical equipment, including pressure vessels, pumps, containers, heat exchangers and machinery.
• Modelled electrical equipment including junction boxes, transformers and cable trays.
• Developed instrumentation models including offline instruments, horns, strobes and remote transmitters.
• Modelled HVAC ducting based on available point-cloud information.
• Developed detailed SmartPlant 3D (S3D) models using the approved geometric model as the modelling reference.
• Performed detailed S3D modelling of piping and mechanical equipment.
• Supported conversion of point-cloud-derived information into structured engineering 3D models.
